Newcastle Building Society extends relationship with Legal & General.

Legal & General's general insurance business is pleased to announce that it has secured a five-year extension to the existing arrangement it has had with Newcastle Building Society over the past six years. The new arrangement will mean that Legal & General will continue to offer its general insurance (GI) products, which includes Home Insurance Choices, Extra and Essentials buildings and contents insurance cover, available in branches and online and now also through the Newcastle Direct call centre operation, until 31 December 2017.
As part of the new agreement to grow and develop both businesses, there will be additional focus on developing new initiatives and capabilities to further enhance the current proposition. In addition, the new arrangement will see increased focus on improving customer retention and exploring the use of new media to help in generating new business and with customer support.
