LGP Recruits James O'Neil from Grosvenor.

Legal & General Property (“LGP”/ the “Company”) announces that it has appointed James O’Neill as Head of International Distribution, supporting its UK Property Income Fund (“UK PIF II”) and the development of other internationally accessible fund products.

James joins the Company from Grosvenor Fund Management, where he was Director of Capital Markets, a role in which he was responsible for European and Canadian investor relations, new product development and capital raising.  Having joined Grosvenor in 2007, James was previously at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held a variety of business development roles.

Further adding to the diverse range of skills and expertise held across LGP’s fund management platform, James’ appointment to the business development team reflects an increasingly ambitious growth agenda.  Focused on clients’ changing needs and appetites, LGP continues to leverage upon its success in developing new and innovative products that enable investors to access real estate across multiple UK strategies.

Reporting to Charlie Walker, Director of Business Development and fund manager to UK PIF I and UK PIF II, James will be closely involved in the capital raising process of UK PIF II as part of his role.  Following its launch last year, the second in the UK Property Income suite of funds, UK PIF II has already secured significant equity from an international audience of investors and continues to be highly regarded as a result of the proven track record of success and fund structure of the maiden fund.
