Legal & General support Brighton fringe festival with performance of the Legal & General workplace choir and bursary sponsorship.

Legal & General workplace choir make their second public performance at the Candlelit Classics, part of the Brighton Fringe Festival on Saturday 11th May.
The choir made up of employees from Legal & General's Kingswood and Hove offices join, with choirs from East Surrey Hospital and The Children's Trust charity.
The formation of the choirs, are part of the Music and Wellbeing Scheme, which is the brainchild of Musical Director Peter Farrant, from Reigate and Redhill and Choral Society. For the last 20 years Peter has developed an extensive range of workshops and projects designed to offer businesses the opportunity to take advantage of the numerous benefits of vocal health and singing in the workplace.
The scheme forms part of the Reigate and Redhill Choral Society's Community Development Programme, which is supported by Legal & General. Since its launch the programme has touched the lives of thousands and assisted Legal & General in making a positive contribution in the local community.The formation of the choir in November 2012, has allowed Legal & General to bring together employees from across their different business divisions in a very unique way, benefiting from hours of professional tuition and gaining improved confidence, networking and self-belief.
In addition to featuring popular classics, ranging from Mozart to Westlife, participants will have the opportunity to perform alongside a live professional orchestra and top soloists, Including highly acclaimed British Soprano, Louise Alder, who is to sing alongside Dame Kiri Te Kanawa at Buckingham Palace as part of the Royal Gala in July 2013.

Now in its fourth year Legal & General and Brighton Fringe have joined together to support new talent in Brighton and Hove and Legal & General have sponsored a number of Bursary's in the Comedy, Kids and Youth, Music and Theatre sections which include the Brighton Comedy Course Showcase, CommuniToy Pop uo Event, Signor Baffo, Voices and Viols and the Mustardseed Theatre Company.
