The Legal & General Network has announced that Steve Goodall, Managing Director, Legal & General Surveying Services (LGSS), and Michael Stoop, Managing Director, Legal & General Franchising Ltd, Xperience, have both been awarded Fellowships by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the world's leading professional body for the surveying industry.

The fellowship is the highest award that can be bestowed on its members and is a mark of distinction, symbolising the highest standard of success, achievement and expertise. RICS describes their Fellows as "leaders in their field" and people who have "undertaken notable projects or made a special contribution to the profession".

Goodall, who has been Managing Director of LGSS, for nine years, was awarded the Fellowship in recognition of his service to the industry. He is currently responsible for the strategy and running of LGSS, as well as sitting on both the Council of Mortgage Lenders and Building Societies Association National Valuation Committees.

LGSS recorded its highest levels of business for 2012, more than in 2007 when the market was at its peak.

Stoop, who has been with Legal & General for 20 years, has 37 years worth of experience in the estate agency and franchising industry and has been recognised by RICS as an 'Eminent Person' in the sector. For the last 14 years, he has been Managing Director of Xperience, where he has continually improved the performance of both the residential estate agency and the financial services business. He is a Director of The Property Ombudsman Board, a member of The Property Ombudsman Council and a Director of The Estate Agency Foundation. He is a Fellow of The National Association of Estate Agents and a Member of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents.

Xperience opened 11 new offices in 2012, growing the network to 87 offices, with a further 10 new offices due to open during 2013.

Steve Goodall, Managing Director, Legal & General Surveying Services says:

"I am personally delighted to have been made a Fellow of RICS and believe this award recognises the on-going commitment, passion and innovation demonstrated by the LGSS team in progressing our industry during the last decade, cementing our place as a respected name in the residential survey and valuation market."

Michael Stoop, Managing Director, Legal & General Franchising Ltd, Xperience says:

"I am extremely pleased to have been given this honour. Since starting with Legal & General 19 years ago, the Franchising business has changed and developed hugely, and I think this award goes to highlight the brilliant work undertaken by everyone in the Xperience team."
