Newcastle Helix wins top real estate award for best collaboration - a development has been designed to be a top centre for research and innovation.
The team behind Newcastle's multimillion-pound science park is celebrating after winning a major award in the real estate sector.
Newcastle Helix, which has been designed as a hub for international tech and science businesses, has won the Collaborators Award at the EG Awards 2019. On the night the award was collected by Newcastle City Council’s director of place Michelle Percy, Newcastle University’s director of corporate affairs Abi Kelly, and Legal & General’s head of urban regeneration Rachel Dickie.
Rachel Dickie, head of urban regeneration at Legal & General, said: “We are committed to creating places that will make a positive difference to local communities, recognising the importance of sustainable growth. We are thrilled that Newcastle Helix has been recognised for its innovative and collaborative approach to public-private partnerships.”
