Our business model

Our largest business area is household insurance, where we provide our products through multiple distribution channels and are delivering new online capabilities through 'GI digital'. We have around 1.3 million UK customers.

We now obtain 37% of new customers through online transactions. An extension of our buy-to-let product into the online and broker channels has provided new opportunities in this market. While our key focus is on household and buy-to-let, we have extended the range of the general insurance products we offer which now include pet and travel cover.

We work closely with bank and building society partners to help people find suitable insurance cover. In 2016 we signed strategic distribution agreements with a number of partners including Coventry and Skipton Building societies as well as Sainsbury’s Bank.
