Making a Difference

About this Report

This report relates principally to Legal & General Group Plc in the UK. On average, 93% of employees worked in the UK during 2005 (2004: 93%), and UK activities accounted for approximately 89% of Group operating profit (2004: 86%*). The report includes some of the policies and practices of our USA and Netherlands operations, as well as environmental and employee data from both the USA and Europe, but unless otherwise stated, policies and practices relate mainly to our UK activities.

What you'll find in the Report

Detailed information on who we consider to be our key stakeholders with regard to Corporate Social Responsibility issues, such as our customers and our employees. For each stakeholder group we have set out our core CSR principles and values, identified the most significant issues, described our main activities and progress in 2005, and set out what we have in mind for 2006. To start with we have also described how CSR works in Legal & General.
