Frequently asked questions.

I have searched through your available jobs but I can’t find a suitable role. Can I send you my CV?
We encourage candidates to apply for specific jobs rather than applying speculatively. If you can’t find a suitable vacancy at the moment why not set up a job alert here? We will then email you roles according to your specific criteria.
Can you tell me when new jobs are available?
You can set up a job alert here. We will then email you roles according to your specific criteria.
I have forgotten my password, what do I do?
Simply go to this page, enter your email address in the box and we will email you your password.
I am having problems accessing my application.
Please contact the recruitment team via therecruitmentteam@landg.com and they will provide assistance.  If they are unable to resolve the issue they will investigate and get back to you.
I have changed my email address since I applied, how will you contact me?
Make sure that we have your most up to date contact details by logging in here and amending them if necessary. Remember, our primary method for contacting you is by email, so if we don’t have your correct email address then we won’t be able to get in touch. Please also ensure that you provide us with an up to date telephone contact number.
I have changed my name since I applied. How do I update my application?
Please contact the recruitment team via therecruitmentteam@landg.com and they will update your details.
Do I need to answer all the questions that are part of the application process?

Yes. The more information you provide as part of your application, the easier it will be for our Resourcing team and the hiring Manager to assess your suitability for the position.

Can I apply for more than one job?

Yes you can. Just make sure you log in with the same username and password that you created when you applied first time around.

What happens if I miss the closing date?

Unfortunately we can’t accept any applications for a job after the closing date has passed.

What happens to my application after I have applied?
Your application will be reviewed by our Resourcing team in conjunction with the hiring Manager, who will create a shortlist of the most suitable candidates.

See more information about the application process.
How long will it take before I hear about a job I have applied for?

If you have been shortlisted we will email you to let you know. Unfortunately the shortlisting process varies from vacancy to vacancy so we are not able to give you a specific timeframe.

If a job I applied for is no longer being advertised, does this mean my application will no longer be considered?

As long as you have fully completed and submitted your application prior to the close date, it will be reviewed in line with all the other applications we received.

I have been asked to come for an interview, is there anywhere to park my car?
Most of our sites have parking facilities and some sites have larger facilities than others. Please contact the recruitment team via therecruitmentteam@landg.com to check the facilities and arrange a parking space if applicable. For directions and more information about our UK offices please take a look at our locations pages.
If my application is unsuccessful will you let me know? Can I re-apply?
Of course. It’s our policy to keep you updated at every stage of your application, including letting you know if you have been unsuccessful.

You can  apply for other roles at any time.
Do you provide feedback on why I have been unsuccessful with my application?

Rest assured that every application is carefully reviewed and considered, but unfortunately we are not able to provide feedback as standard to all unsuccessful applications unless you reach the interview stage.

What identification will I need? What security/pre-employment checks will I undergo?

We ask all applicants to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK e.g. passport or visa.  If you do not have a passport we may ask to see your birth certificate. You will also need to provide a proof of address such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. Our referencing checks also include employment/personal references as well as academic checks.  We may ask to see exam certificates if the qualification is a requirement of the job.  We will also check your details against fraud prevention databases.

Do you provide relocation assistance?

For some roles we may offer relocation assistance. Please ask your Resourcing team contact if this applies to the role you have applied for.

Someone at Legal & General has helped me apply. Can they benefit through referring me?

For more difficult to find skills we do have referral schemes such as Actuarial and Accounting.  If the vacancy qualifies for a referral scheme this will be made clear in the vacancy advert. You’ll need to insert the referer’s work email address in your application when asked the question ‘where did you hear about this vacancy?’

Do you offer work experience opportunities?

Unfortunately we only offer work experience placements to family members of Legal & General employees.

Do you offer internships or vacation placements?
In some cases but these roles will generally be advertised on our website (here).
Will I be reimbursed for travelling expenses to attend the interview?

We do not usually reimburse travelling expenses.

Can I be re-employed if I have been made redundant from Legal & General?

Under normal circumstances a minimum of 12 months from date of termination must have elapsed before we would re-employ.
