Our recruitment process is designed to work two ways. It allows us to assess your skills and qualities and also helps you decide whether we’re the right employer for you.
Once we've received your job application online, we'll review it to see if you meet our pre-screening criteria. Just as we treat our customers fairly, so we treat everyone who applies to us fairly too. You will receive an automated acknowledgement online as soon as you have registered on our careers site. You will receive another acknowledgement once you have submitted an application to a vacancy. Once we have completed the initial screening we will also let you know whether you have been successful or not.
If you’ve made it through our initial screening, we'll contact you to arrange the next steps. Depending on the role you have applied for you might be asked to take part in a 20-minute phone interview or you’ll be invited for a face-to-face interview, where we’ll ask you about your previous experience . There may also be tests to measure literacy, numeracy and accuracy. You may also be invited to an Assessment Centre. These events could typically include an online exercise such as a personality questionnaire or numerical or verbal test, and/or a presentation or role play.
But don’t be daunted. Our Recruitment Team are there to guide you step by step through the recruitment process and will regularly update you by email on what to expect next – so don’t hesitate to get in touch with them if you have any questions, or if you need advice. Last but not least, if you are successful we will email you our offer of employment – so make sure your contact details are up to date. The offer will include details of how to access our microsite where you will be able to find out more about the Company which we hope will answer a lot of your questions.
Remember, at some point in the process we’ll need to take copies of your passport or work permit and proof of address. Once you’ve accepted a job offer, our reference team will carry out a series of pre-employment checks which may include a credit check as well as take up references from previous employers and academic institutions. These may take up to five weeks to complete but we always try and speed through them as fast as we can. Our reference team will keep in contact with you throughout this process to keep you up to date on progress.
Good luck!
