  • Purchased US-based Government Employee Life Insurance Company renamed Banner Life
  • Acquired Dutch branch of Unlike Assurance Group and merged into a new Legal & General Netherlands subsidiary
  • French life branch is incorporated
  • Legal & General Mortgage Services Limited is incorporated
  • Purchased William Penn Life Insurance Co. of New York and our first estate agency
